Negar completed her second M.Sc. in Advanced Solid Mechanics through the STRAINS Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree programme in 2023. She defended her thesis titled “Nano-mechanical characterization of the fiber-matrix interface of polymer composites” under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Pardoen (iMMC) and Prof. Bernard Nysten (IMCN) at UCLouvain.

She joined the HAPI team in October 2023 to pursue her PhD, focusing on the thickness effect on fracture toughness in metallic sheets, particularly stainless steel (SS316L and SS304LN).
